Laura Biagiotti FW 10.11 Campaign at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome
The Laura Biagiotti FW 10.11 campaign has been realized by the Italian photographer Toni Thorimbert in Rome at Palazzo delle Esposizioni, exclusively allowed to Laura Biagiotti. The mood of the collection is interpreted by the top model Kori Richardson.
Laura Biagiotti promotes the concept of integrated functions and emphasizes the DNA of the brand famous for its comfortable lines, femininity, and knitwear.
The color palette range from Laura white to new neutrals that include powder pink, nude, taupe, almond, lychee, ginger, mauve, and tea rose. Natural greens concentrate on moss and arrive at browns with intense splashes of chocolate. Teal is an outsider with a touch of black. Embroidery, intarsia, and coatings create luminous touches with a metallic sheen.
Floating threads, fringe, and appliqués embellish a foldable, packable wardrobe based on knitwear that is used extensively: cablestitching is the pattern for next winter. The new cashmere of Laura, who was dubbed “the Queen of Cashmere” by the New York Times due to her revolutionary use of this material in the seventies, undergoes an unusual and futuristic symbiosis with fabric this season. Double weaves, airy lacy openwork, tone-on-tone tangles, haphazard gathers and tucks, and sculpture-like ribbing are featured in sweaters with batwing sleeves, robe-cardigans, mohair coats, sheaths with ruches, curly vests, and multi-purpose accessories such as shawl collars that turn into sensuous tops or sleeve-gloves.
